OUR Facility

Conveniently located just off Route 28 in Dulles, our brand-new studio is only minutes from fantastic shopping and dining. Parents can visit Dulles Town Center Mall or the Dulles 28 Centre—home to Wegmans, Target, and many restaurant options—while their dancer enjoys class.

State-of-the-Art Dance Studios

Our cutting-edge facility features five professionally equipped dance studios, each designed to support dancers’ developing bodies while delivering a true professional training experience. All studios are built with sprung floorsengineered on 3-inch closed-cell foam blocks and two crossed layers of subfloor, providing maximum shock absorption and protection for growing joints.

Four studios are finished with black 2mm Timestep marley, ideal for a variety of dance styles. Our dedicated ballet studio (Studio 3) is finished with Harlequin Reversible Pro gray marley, a beautiful, slip-resistant surface chosen specifically for ballet technique. Studio 3 also features wall-mounted ballet barres on three sides, creating the perfect environment for focused classical training.

Studio 1: The Black Box Experience

At 38 x 49 feet, Studio 1 is our largest creative space. Painted entirely black, it easily transforms into a black box theater for in-studio showcases. For everyday use, expansive windows along two walls flood the space with natural light, making it both dramatic and inspiring.

Dancer Comfort & Amenities

We want dancers to feel at home while they train:

Locker Area

Two full walls of lockers offer plenty of secure storage for shoes, hoodies, snacks, and everything our competition dancers bring along.

Student Lounge

A spacious 23 ft. x 15 ft. lounge gives dancers a place to unwind. It features:

A full-size refrigerator
Two microwaves
Restaurant-style booth seating
A cozy sectional couch in a separate relaxation area

Perfect for refueling between classes, completing homework, or socializing with teammates.

Dancer Quiet Room

For dancers who need focus or a peaceful moment away from the excitement, our quiet room provides a dedicated space for studying or decompressing.

Parent & Staff Spaces

Parent Waiting Area

Parents can relax in our comfortable waiting area, which includes:

Cozy seating
Cubbies for recreational dancers’ belongings
A TV
A one-way viewing window for parents to watch their dancers shine during recreational classes

Teachers’ Lounge

Our instructors enjoy access to a private lounge equipped with seating, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker—Supporting the team that supports your dancers.

Equipment Storage

Our in-house, climate-controlled storage room has direct garage-door access to our outdoor loading zone. This space houses props, acro mats, PBT balls and bands, and other conditioning equipment—kept organized and protected year-round.

OUR PROGRAMS

Recreational Program

RISE recreational classes, spanning all age groups and levels, support and encourage kids and teens to get active, have fun, and build skills in dance, focus, and musicality. Students learn basic dance technique while developing strong memorization and coordination skills through dance movement and execution of choreography. Recreational dancers culminate the program with a live stage performance that showcases their hard work and acquired dance skills.

Competition Team

RISE pre-professional dance classes offer competition dancers a chance to push their limits with intensive training and advanced technique. Our competition team thrives on intricate, demanding choreography that ignites stages at regional competitions, leading to a national battle against the nation’s top talent. Beyond dance mastery, RISE fosters a deep passion for the art and self-discovery, alongside values of commitment, teamwork, and compassionate camaraderie among peers.

Technique Track

RISE Technique Track offers advanced pre-professional technique classes and training in ballet, leaps & turns, jazz, musical theater, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acro, and tap.

Our story

RISE Dance Center of Virginia was born from resilience, community, and an unwavering love for dance. When the future of their former dance studio became uncertain, a mother and grandmother—both deeply rooted in the dance community and with a legacy of successful entrepreneurship—decided to create a new home for their three young dancers. They envisioned a place where passion for dance could thrive and where pre-professional and recreational dancers in Northern Virginia could find their second home.

With decades of combined experience in artistic, business, and financial management, our founding family ensures that RISE Dance Center stands on a foundation of stability and excellence. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment, fostering the growth of dancers at all levels. At RISE, we are committed to cultivating talent, encouraging creativity, and building a strong, supportive community for years to come.
